Career Gateway

The Career Gateway Transition program is a promising new program sponsored by Intermediate Unit 1 and supported through both the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Westmoreland-Fayette Workforce Investment Board. Through Career Gateway, individuals hoping to attend post-secondary education are given the basic academic skills, study skills, personal management skills and confidence to succeed in the post-secondary environment. Career Gateway classes are held daily at the Uniontown CareerLink from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Over 50 area adults have successfully completed the Career Gateway program and are enrolled in area post-secondary schools and certification programs.
