Economic Education Foundation
The Economic Education Foundation, in cooperation with Intermediate Unit 1, sponsors teacher training and provides up-to-date materials to all teachers of economics, K–12. EEF goals include:
- Strengthening school and business/industry partnerships.
- Providing students with the background necessary to make competent choices as consumers, workers, wage earners, and voting citizens.
- Establishing a relationship between economics and the well being of the individual in society.
- Offering basic information about our private enterprise system.
Teachers involved in using materials provided by the board through Economics America are afforded an annual workshop funded by the EEF Board of Directors. Coordinated by Intermediate Unit 1, this program provides stimulating staff development and an on-site visit for teachers to an industrial or business site.
