To work offsite, you must obtain permission from your district induction coordinator.
Course Options for Year 2 Days 1 and 2
You may take any one of the following courses as a substitute for Induction Year 2. One course will count for both Year 2 days.

- Developing Cultural Awareness/Sensitivity I online
- Differentiated Instruction Strategies for the Classroom
- Instructional Materials 1 online
- Reading Apprenticeship Part 1

Note: All courses do not run in each term.
Note for Course Options for Year 2
When an inductee is taking a course from the CPE course list as a Year 2 Induction option, the inductee should register for the course, then email Keith Golebie that they are taking the class for induction as part of the Induction Consortium, and the tuition portion of the fee will be adjusted. Inductees pay for books and materials. The inductee will then submit payment to IU1 for the adjusted price. You do not need to email if you are taking one of the regular Induction courses or workshops. Inductees should also notify their district induction coordinator that they are taking a course. Induction Consortium participants are responsible for the cancellation fee for courses if they do not show or do not email a cancellation, prior to the start of a course.
At least two sessions are scheduled for each day. If you miss or cancel a day, you may be able to attend the next session. Check with your district. Otherwise, to make up a missed event, take the missed event the next time it is offered.
