Interagency Support

The Intensive Interagency Coordinator facilitates interagency problem-solving teams in the 25 school districts of IU1 to design and deliver coordinated services to school-age children and adolescents and their families. The coordinator's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Facilitating problem-solving meetings across local communities
• Integrating students in local education and home-community settings
• Supporting policies, practices and procedures across service delivery systems
• Collaborating with other service providers and advocacy groups to support inclusion
• Serving as an effective change agent in support of appropriate inclusion
• Advocating for services to be appropriately inclusive, easily accessible and well integrated
• Assisting implementation of the provisions of the Cordero Case decision through program development for "hard-to-place" children
• Attending regional, state and local interagency meetings
