Interagency Support
The Intensive Interagency Coordinator facilitates interagency problem-solving teams in the 25 school districts of IU1 to design and deliver coordinated services to school-age children and adolescents and their families. The coordinator's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Facilitating problem-solving meetings across local communities
- Integrating students in local education and home-community settings
- Supporting policies, practices and procedures across service delivery systems
- Collaborating with other service providers and advocacy groups to support inclusion
- Serving as an effective change agent in support of appropriate inclusion
- Advocating for services to be appropriately inclusive, easily accessible and well integrated
- Assisting implementation of the provisions of the Cordero Case decision through program development for "hard-to-place" children
- Attending regional, state and local interagency meetings
