Keys2Work and My Career Journey

Keys2Work

Keys2Work is an individualized, self-directed web-based career investigation and skill improvement tool with application to PSSA, AYP, tutoring, and transition. Online pre-assessment determines participant's reading, math, locating information skills, and Holland Code interests as they relate to over 1,000 local jobs (100 miles within the student's zip code). Web-based modules of the Key Train curriculum include lessons aligned with the Pennsylvania standards, quizzes, and continuous automatic tracking of participant progress.

My Career Journey

My Career Journey is the new virtual, interactive middle school program developed by the Smart Futures organization. Journey allows students to connect their skills and preferences with appropriate career and career clusters. The approach used is a fun, game-like program with activities centered around career development. As students complete the required sections of the program a journal is being created that can be printed to share with teachers, parents, career counselors, etc. The program addresses the Pennsylvania Department of Education Standards for Career Education and Work.
